Its been really long that I have posted here! There were two reasons actually. One was my hectic job routine in the month of July that lasted till the first week of august ended. Second was my domain and web hosting plan expiry. It was expiring in August and I was exploring few options that could fulfil my needs.
Then I came to know about Pi Labs that is providing these services at a very low cost. I renewed my domain and got the new hosting plan from them. I had to move everything carefully because of the numerous services running including 2 blogs (another for my friend), mysql/php freelance work that I had been doing and my little portfolio.
A few updates from myside are that I am currently on vacations and enjoying my time with my family in Karachi. I am going to join back @work after Eid InshAllah. A lot of incidents occured recently that had embarked a negative impression to that rest of the world. Killing of 2 brothers in Sialkot, Airblue incident, Flood situation, target killings in Karachi are few of them.
I wonder where we as a nation are heading towards. I wonder why government isn’t ashamed of what image they have created for themselves, while international aids aren’t been giving through government channels. I wonder how this flood has affected our routines. And I wonder when we would realize that such incidents are Azaab-e-Ilahi and not just natural disaster.
May Allah give hidayat to us, and let us understand what nature is trying to make us feel about the situation. Fi Amanillah!
I am really sorry for not updating my blog for quite long due to some new things happened in my life. =)
It wasn’t something bad but it happened to be quite hectic somehow. Starting with the job switching, I have resigned from TPS Pakistan and joined Telenor Pakistan in the EasyPaisa Team..
Last day at TPS was followed by the final exams of my MBA (2nd Semester). Yeah, I have suspended my MBA so far…. and probably going to continue it in Islamabad , and yes again… I have relocated to Islamabad for my new Job
So all that scene with last days at TPS, final exams, shopping and packing for relocating to Isb.. really made it hectic for me. Alhumdulillah its been almost a month at the new job and everything seems so good. After all there is no John =P and nor his companions. Yayyy!!
I was here in Karachi for spending the long weekend and going to fly back tonight!! That’s all from my end till now. My next pending task is the update of Hall of Shame and another post about *****… lol
I hope everyone is doing fine in this cyberspace.
We observed yet-another day with the scary feeling of the 12th may incident. Although keeping in view the incidents of past month, provincial government had declared an official holiday in the Sindh Province. However all those (like me) who work for organizations that comes under the Federal Govt had to attend their office as per normal routine. =( =(
Any how I just wanted to share a snaps that shows the traffic-less road of Karachi at the time when this roads is fully loaded with cars and the public transport.
I took this picture at around 6:30 pm when usually the pace of the traffic at this road is quite slow.
Thanks to Rambler for returning back the camera at this instant and letting me capturing this moment. Nevertheless, some people try to look as busy as BEE. I wonder how important is ‘posing just to look busy’ ignoring the fact the desktop is locked. But we will not blame the upcoming star for this as these kind of kiddish mistakes are even observed in the Commercials played on TV, and this is just jingoist.pk .. =D
Em … you are the upcoming star of Ufone Adv =D
Unpleasantly specifying, at least 25 people have been killed and about 40 have been injured since the start of violent activities yesterday in Karachi. This situation is quite unexpected yet so depressing to discuss with any one. The controversial topic of Pashtun or Taliban is getting into the situation that isn’t been controlled by the law enforcing agencies(Although I am not sure whether they are even intending to do it or not). Since I had slept last night, I got about 10 SMS either to inquire about me or informing to take precautionary measures before leaving home.
Those who creating this chaotic situation, I am sure doesn’t belong to ethnic race of Pakistan. These riots are literal anti-pakistan group, intending to affect all the activities happening in Pakistan at domestic and international level. It is indeed embarrassing for the organizers to announce yet another postponement of their event.
Those who are somehow affiliated with FAST NU must be knowing that PROCOM.NET 2009 was first postponed to the next day. However I was just informed that PROCOM would just be a single day event due to the problematic situation. No one can imagine the efforts that would have been done by the student body for the two PROCOM days, that turned out to be an event of 1 day make them literally disappointed.
All exams under Intermediate board have also been postponed because of this situation. All business activities remain suspended today and even the Bank Personnel left at around 2 pm.
This is very well known hadith which has the moral that “Ruler of any place is as per the deeds of the citizens living in that place”. This implies that, a ruler of us can only be good if we are good as well. And If we would remain the same and won’t re-evaluate ourselves in terms of our religious and social activities, trust me nothing is going to change regardless of changing the current president to another.
I just read a post on the Five Rupees and thought about sharing it.
I think the author has pointed out very critical matter that should be clarified among Karachites, as we are being imposed to have this discriminative approach for our Pashtun Brothers.
I would also request you to spread this message to all.
Since I passed out my High School, Alhumdulillah I never got a chance to get my self through the quota system of our country. For instance, while applying in the Karachi University it was something new for me to know that KU has a quota for all the provinces, with respect to its popultion/area (I am not sure).
Let me just clarify, I don’t have any intentions to make any differences among the rights of Provincial System. I am just giving a thought to what I visualize for my Best-Pakistan =). Those who don’t like it. Better read the About Me Page.
This quota system is not just around the educational institutions of government but, everyother organization that has to be dealt with the government is being suffered from this quota culture.
The question asked by the kid (up there in the attached picture) seems quite understandable. Brother is something ‘poles apart’; today we are not in a situation to call our self to be a single nation.
The poor kid just had a question but I have un-countable.
Till when we are going to fight for our provincial rights?
Why even we ask for a quota that enriches the feeling of provincial discrimination?
What are the reasons that discriminate us due to geographical differences?
Why don’t we recognize our selves as a single Nation? Why ?
Why not as a Pakistani?
In addition to my last blog here are few pics that endorce the beauty of Karachi
Jeeyaay Pakistan and for sure Karachi!!!
These pics are taken from an album of a pakistani user through flickr.com. I am sorry for overlooking the actual URL of that album. If somebody found please intimate me. Thanks
