Jingoism

A moment to re-think

by on Oct.24, 2008, under Critism, Jinguism, Pakistan

I haven’t been able to put up posts over here due to work load after EID Holidays and a few in line projects. After listening to a conversation b/w an anchorperson of a Media Channel and a senior journalist, Hamid Mir, I felt like sharing it over here.

You can download this conversation from this link Hamid Mir at Bannu. It will tell you how weak our government is even in the boundaries that have surrounded the total area of Pakistan. I shall request all the pro-musharraf dudes to realize the fact that the in-human acts of dictatorship has engraved brutality among the citizens of Pakistan.

This is an eye-opener, my dear fellows. In the past 10 years we have made to loose our identity. In the name of WAR AGAINST TERROISM, Pakistani government has victimized thousands of innocent citizens and yet continuing the same. Mr. Interior Minister, people are questioning what kind of revenge is being taken through this so called Democracy.

It is the time to self-evaluate ourselves, in terms of our religion, our ethical behavior and against a question that how much we have been contributing to the land we belong to. It’s the time to unite ourselves and realize the significance of being a single Nation, truly as Pakistani.

God Bless All of us.

we dont need democracy look at all other democratic nations

this nation also needs to get out of “Syndrome of Dependency” and start doing something today instead of siting on their rear part and discussing either in feudal lord sponsored autaq or on tv channels

also this nation ( it hurts to call this crowd a nation) should stop voting and fearing else Pakistan will continue to suffer because of this so called ruling class

also stop calling these mobsters and gangsters as Leaders and rulers and quicker we kick them out the better but yes we seriously lack the leadership even if i borrow the corporate term we lack competent clerks and managers as well

its always someone else will come and do it read some graffiti on city walls put up before benazir’s arrival as if God is coming down himself!

there is much to write but there is bigger need to do!

get moving and do it whatever you can for this country and Islam

I would like to put forward some facts. Foreign exchange reserves are down close to $7 billion from $16 billion in October 2007, making it up-hill task for us to pay the import bill. Foreign investors are scared and they should be. When ‘we’ bomb Marriott hotel, when ‘we’ justify that heinous act saying it is a reaction to couple of boxes seen to be smuggled into the hotel by American troops (by the way this is what Ansar Abbasi, close friend of Hamid Mir, wrote a day after the blast), when we blame America and Israel for all our ills, even the potholes in the roads, when our immams start Eid sermons praying for destruction of USA…yes they will pull out their money from this country.

You may argue there is mismanagement. Indeed there is. Gas shortfall has surpassed 600mmcfd. Why? because we have started consuming more than we produce. Why? because the price of gas here is much lower than international rates. We have lived so long on subsidies that we can not face the truth now that we are in trouble. The reaction to increase in electricity bills is an example.

Oh there is so much to say but I will come back to the WAR ON TERROR being fought at out doorstep. The war has been brought to us because we have been breeding our own enemy. Anybody who says, these extremists preaching their own brand of Islam can be corrected is naive.

Indeed God will help us but we must try and help ourselves as well. I think to start with we should start conserving energy by turning off lights we don’t need.
